Can anyone help me with this please? I can see the car had private plates on one time and those plates were on a vehicle which was written off. So that seems okay.

The last bit about being exported confuseses me and the fact it says the vehicle is registered in NI.

Any ideas please? What would you do, buy or not??

Hi andy ,
You need to add the cars vin number for an accurate check ,a cars reg number can change but not the vin number .

In addition you need to do a VOSA mileage check ,it's free from direct gov .you need the mot certificate number to complete a check .

Always bear in mind ,if you have any doubts walk away .there is always another car .

Looks iffy to me. Is it an Audi or a BMW? I didn't think registrations which have been swopped for a personal plate would be reissued to another vehicle?

Thanks for all the replies. Decided to keep well away and look for another car. Too much hassle.

What car is it?

All the report says is that a plate which has been applied at some point to the car has been written off and maybe "exported" and maybe "re-imported" to another part of the UK.

If you are looking at the Audi concerned then it has been written off. If it is not the Audi then this is a standard report which comes up for loads of cars which means a plate shared by the car you are looking at and an Audi over goodness know how many years history has once been on a car which was written off. The car you are looking at may be fine.

You have to read and interpret the reports considering the actual physical car you are looking at. This kind of report comes up for a large percentage of OK cars.
