Kia Sportage - How to remove make up from leather seats - AlanLaing

Our leather seats in the Kia have got a few greasy white ish marks from my partners make up which looks like grey smudges that are very hard to remove. They almost seem ingrained into the perforations on the leather, any advice welcome.

Without wishing to be a smarty pants, have you tried make up remover?

Baby wipes would be my other first call.

I don't know with the Kia Sportage specifically but I know with leather warm water and dish soap if you gentle dab it, it might work.

I did consider make up remover but I’m not 100% that it won’t mark/stain the leather

Autoglym offer leather treatments, and I'm sure removing make-up is not an unknown difficulty.

Are you 100% sure they are leather? Kia (and other makes) have a habit of calling plastic products leather and the process for cleaning them is different.

If it is real leather I would try water and washing up liquid. Water should not harm leather. If your partner uses sun tan lotion keep them away from the paintwork!

Rub them with your face.

Built for the job.

I always thought that make up was applied to the top of the body not the bottom.
