I find it increasingly hard to see the front signaling indicators at the presence of powerful LED's when tightly adjacent to said indicators.
I especially have hard time reading the turning intensions of certain American EV's, is it just me ?? or do you also cant see the blinking amber/red lights?

I think that is why on many modern cars when the indicator is turned on, the lights dim slightly on that side.
Never a good idea to depend solely on what the indicator is saying though, if in doubt, wait and see!

It's not a new thing, the headlight mounted front indicators were nearly impossible to see in a Mk4 Golf when the headlights were on!
The other problem with modern cars is that LED lighting is much more directional than a white bulb with an orange diffuser like you used to have. Some cars are much more visible than others though usually best achieved by a decent amount of separation between indicator and headlight.

Me too, on some particularly badly designed set-ups which should never have got past the regulator - if there is one. But some are excellent - I saw one the other day where the the front bright white circular LED running light was completely replaced by yellow circular indicator light. Not sure what make - think it might have been a Mini?

I think you are right, John. I have also noticed a reappearance of the sequential indicator, which must help to make indications more visible. Modern ones are LED of course, but some American cars had bulb ones, back in the '60s. I remember thinking what a typically transatlantic idea they were.

No not just you, and some of the rear lights are next to useless too, VW's notably where the rear indicator is a circle on some Golfs, in bright sunlight a trafficator from the 1950s would be more effective.
One of the reasons i like older Subarus and Toyotas, particularly large Toyota 4x4s, where the front indicator was in its own lamp unit far away from the headlights.
Some of the faddish scrolling rear indicators are as much use as a chocolate teapot, see them fitted to some trucks now, equally useless.
Mind you given the intensity of so many headlights and DRLs now, most of us are driving around half blinded at the best of times, and don't get me started on the roadsaide lit up advertising screens, some of those on the M6 West Mids illuminate half the county, if you looked at one directly you'd see nothing else for 20 minutes, surprised the old bill traffic haven't kicked off at the dangers of those and got them dimmed or preferably scrapped.
