I have read the EV car batteries degrade over time.
Does that mean it it also charge the car quicker, so does it need to be on charge for the same amount of time?
I suspect it'll take at least as long as on day one to get to the lower charged-up state. Before I changed them for new ones, my houshold rechargeable batteries still took the same time to charge as they always did, but the actual amount of use they provided steadily declined. By the time they (NiMh type) they reached 10yo, many were only giving 50% of the life before needing to be recharged again, some even less.
Newer battery tech means self discharge is lower and lifespans before they get to the above state is longer, but I can't see the time for charging to shorten, at best stay the same and more likely get a bit longer.
