Merc c220d - 2018 Merc C220d purchase - NAthan smith
Hi all
Looking st purchasing a 2018 C220d estate AMQ line spec. Car has covers 54k. Anything I need to look for in particular (had Audi, BMWs but never a Merc). Are they cambelt or chain? Service intervals?

Generally a good all round car , but with any modern Diesel engine, you need to be aware of issues with the emission systems . Dpf , egr , adblue are all in the running to go wrong, and they do . All Mercedes engines are chain , except those that use the Renault engine. Service is variable. Usually 12- 15 k miles .

If it’s the 1.6 diesel (shared with Renault) it’s a chain.
I’ve that engine in a Megane and no adBlue in that application.
