Civic SI 2010 1.8vtech 115k miles - purchase advice needed - Cagan Ozturk

Hi guys, basically im hoping to pick this up tomorrow morning, it has full service history which i havent yet seen, last service in September. its on 115k miles. the only advisory that has shown up more than once is this - "Nearside Front Wheel bearing has slight play" the other advisories are as follows

  1. Nearside Front Tyre worn close to legal limit/worn on edge 225/45 17 (5.2.3 (e))
  2. Offside Front Tyre worn close to legal limit/worn on edge (5.2.3 (e))
  3. Rear Tyre slightly damaged/cracking or perishing both split in tread (5.2.3 (d) (ii))
  4. Nearside Rear Brake disc worn, pitted or scored, but not seriously weakened (1.1.14 (a) (ii))
  5. Nearside Rear Suspension component corroded but not seriously weakened axle (5.3.3 (b) (i))
  6. Offside Rear Suspension component corroded but not seriously weakened axle (5.3.3 (b) (i))
  7. Offside Front Track rod end ball joint has slight play (2.1.3 (b) (i))
  8. Nearside Front Wheel bearing has slight play (5.1.3 (a) (i))

i know its not easy to say without seeing but any general advice would be appreciated, the car is listed at £2995. Cheers!

Nothing worrying there on a 12-year-old car with a good reputation. You might be able to persuade the seller to replace those tyres, but OTOH they would probably get the cheapest so you might prefer to do that yourself. You will probably have to be ready to pay for the occasional maintenance task, but go ahead.

Yeah, I'd budget for four new tyres immediately. Bearings and track rod ends can be done in due course when it starts getting noisy or a bit rough. I wouldn't worry about the corrosion but (and without seeing it), it can't hurt to wire brush and treat it when you can.

Looks ok to me and I`ve seen a few in much worse condition on paper for more money, apart from whats been said, check all electrics are ok and aircon is working as repair is expensive, not many check its working and cost to fix can be a third of car value depending on problem, just a thought....

personally I would have oil and filter changed every 6k miles or 6 months, engines last longer then imo, if you intend keeping it that is?
