VW Passat B7 - hand brake module - MyGusset

Hi all,

I've read about the passat electronic hand brake module (which includes the buttons for auto hold and ABS) - mine works but the hand brake button has become loose so the button stays down and you have to pull it back up. I can't find anywhere that sells new units, only one in Lithuania, the rest are used ones on ebay.

Has anyone else experienced this? Is there any way to fix it or does it need a new module?

Have you tried VW main dealer ? They should be able to supply a new unit .

No I will try them thanks. Just thinking they will probbaly charge me an arm and a leg. They are apparently £60 odd but I'll see what they say.

You could probably find it online without going to the dealer. Guess it will be cheaper if you know how to change it
