Fiesta mk4 - Expected costs of repairs - coilsprings and brake - f4tduq

If I had to replace offside and nearside coil springs and front brake discs (also both), how much would I expect my local garage to quote me?

Also, how long would it take to complete the job and would repairing these items affect other parts?

Thanks for any advice.

I'm sure E-bay would give you a ballpark idea of the cost of parts. I would take a wild guess at 1 to 1½ hours labour each side. As to 'other parts', that may depend how old and well-used the car is, and perhaps how keen the repairer is to inflate the bill, or conscientious to do a complete job. And you probably need to add pads to go with new discs.

I would think 2-3 hrs work plus parts . Depends how rusty all the nuts and bolts are . If fitting new discs, you’ll need new pads . Possibly £ 250 -300 , all in , depending on quality of parts .

I'd have a very good look under the vehicle before spending money on it, most mk4 Fiestas have rotted away & been scrapped, there becoming a rare sight now.
