I don't think HJ mentioned this recent update on the site, or I missed it.

As good as a Hyundai now?

Seems to be limited to 100,000 miles?

Hyundai is unlimited?

Kia is 7 years/100,000 miles.

How long before Honda follow suit?

Can't be long, can it?

I'd have thought people comparing Honda with Toyota, the two prime examples of, reputedly, reliable Japanese manufacturers, could have been tempted by Toyota's longer warranty if there was any indecision on which to go for.

I honestly can't see the reluctance to do so ... it surely guarantees five years of dealer servicing (well, at least for private buyers anyway) to maintain the warranty. And if those two that I mention are as reliable as we all consider them to be then surely they have nothing to lose and everything to gain?

Four years actually, because at the car's fifth birthday (as long as there's nothing wrong with it) why pay main dealer servicing prices?

In the Top 10 longest warranty list, is there a reason why Ssangyong is not at the top?. It does appear their warranty is best, at 7 years and 150k miles

Interestingly, the warranty for new Renaults in Ireland is 5 years and 200,000 kilometres or just under 125k miles transferable to a new owner (plus 5 years breakdown cover). Apparently, Vauxhall withdrew its 'Lifetime' 100k warranty on the grounds that customers weren't that influenced by the offer when it came to choosing their brand. As someone who has owned Toyotas and Hyundais, I find that hard to believe.

We bought a Vauxhall because of that warranty (and it was cheap), probably wouldn’t have bought without. I almost wonder if that was a double bluff...
