Audi A4 B6 - Broken wire in harness feeding boot lock - Steveieb

My indie repaired \ cable brake which feeds the boot lock latch mechanism.

He is very busy at the moment so cant get the car in to him.

He said the break was in the wires that bend in the rubber boot.

Any idea how to repair the break ?

Broken wires in door , boot and tailgate shuts are a common problem on all Vag models . I have just done a boot wiring repair on a Passat Cc. It really depends how many wires are broken. Best plan is to disconnect every thing in the boot lid and pull the wiring loom down into the boot area. You are very likely to need to extend some of the wires , as the originals will be too tight. Something else to be aware, very often the wire colours are all the same , just to confuse the issue .

Sadly, no where near . But interestingly one of my sons and wife used to live in Northampton , near the hospital. Don’t know anyone in your area to do this job.
