bmw F30 3 series - Rear window jerking - sammy1

My lad has a 14 reg 3series and the rear window only moves an inch at a time when operated Same with drivers switch and passenger rear switch. Tried resetting as on older models, What would be the likely cause, motor is obviously working of sorts or teeth on motor or regulator? Rear window hardly ever used.

Try cleaning out the channels the windows run in, lubricate with some silicone grease or furniture polish...

Window mechanism motor may need re-calibration. However , this may only be able to be done via the diagnostic system.
