corsa c 1000 - low compression - le Corsa c1.0

Hi my ikkle Corsa overheated.I stripped it down had head skimmed, reassembled it using new bolts etc.It would not start changed cam sensor still no start .I then did a comprrssion test very low readings so stripped it down again incsea I had overlooked something.reassembled still nothing.Did another comp test no1 pot 2- 23 psi pot 2 - 25 psi pot 3 - 21 psi.So I know there is a problem but not a vlue.Could blown head gasket break piston rings?.HELP PLZZZZZ.xxxxxx.

Have you double checked the valve timing?

As above. Sounds like the valve timing is incorrect, or the valve clearances are too tight due to the hydraulic lifters having fully extended when the head was removed.

Thank you for your reply.all I did was take the hydralic lifters out had head skimmed and oiled them and set them in again.Is there a special method for valve lifters to be resited.I have looked in the haynes no ref to speacial ways to re home them.

yes I did twice. is there a certain was to rehome the valve lifters as all I did was oil the cylinders and the lifters and put them back in their right places.and tightened the cam down
