5 year warranty and 5 years breakdown cover as standard? Is that correct ?

I googled it and it says so, as from last July.

But it's still not a brand that I've ever coveted.

Me neither, but it’s a positive step and you never know, might encourage other brands to follow suit.

Ive had three, 2 grand Cherokees and a wrangler, never gave a moments trouble, not so sure about those with the fiat engines (mine where all 4 litres straight 6)

Here in NZ Ford have just announced a 5-year unlimited km warranty for all new cars. May follow suit in the UK too, in due course?

Used to get them in part-ex against Shoguns fairly regularly. The 4.0 6cyl’s would run and run but interior quality was poor and the driving position odd. The diesels were terrible, a total afterthought quickly botched together for the European market. Noisy and troublesome old Italian VM diesel related to the one found in the Rover SD1.

The introduction of a 5yr warranty is an attempt to repair the damage done in recent years to Jeeps image via the use of Fiat components and architecture.

Both Alfa and Jeep now come with the 535 deal.
5 years warranty
3 years servicing.
5 years breakdown.
My new Giulia is a fantastic car.
Let’s hope I don’t need either of the 5s!

I drove a Renegade for a month in the States as a hire car. I would never spend my own money on a Fiat, but I had to admit to myself that I got to like the car. It had a 2.4 litre petrol engine which was rather thirsty, but then fuel in the States is half the UK price. It was roomier than I thought it would be and it was well equipped. I liked the quirky looks and when I see a Renegade back home in the UK I always think whether I would really like to own one. Now that the 535 offer has been introduced, my doubts about Fiat reliability wouldn’t matter so much and I probably wouldn’t keep it beyond 5 years anyway.

In reality I don’t think I’ll be buying one, but the improved warranty, servicing and breakdown cover package has made me reconsider.
