Well this is a very odd question isn't it!.

Why 2014?,

what size of car?,

what type of running are you going to be doing with it?,

does it need to be petrol or diesel?

Most important, how much money can you spend?.

These are all questions you need to answer before anyone can offer any meaningful help as there are simply far too many variables (and i am particularly interested in what it is about 2014!)

But to take your question literally, the two cheapest 2014 cars currently for sale on autotrader (excluding insurance write offs) are these two chalk and cheese £2295 examples,

As you can see, they are totally different which highlights my point about needing info (any info, other than an apparently random year), with one being a privately sold high mileage 7 seater family wagon and the other being a very small (and very cheap to run) city car.

Agreed - we need much more information to be able to give you any useful advice.

Remember that if a car is priced unusually low, there will be a reason for it, such as high mileage, poor condition, been in an accident, or a model which was never popular even when new. Avoid all these except high mileage: if it's been regularly serviced and your own mileage will be low, you may get a bargain.
