hi all, my exhaust scrapes speed humps, even if i go slowly, is there a shorter version of the rubber bung which it hangs off of, so i could raise it by half inch or so?

Also is a front shock change, a big job? Any special tools?

cheers guys

Are you sure its exhaust as some would clout the towing eye holder welded to the front crossmember, Not sure about shock as I had mine done after MOT failure,by the same garage, at the time they were hard to get 4 years ago, so may have changed ... and the complete strut has to be changed as all in one unit, took about 40 mins both sides

other possibilty is springs need replacing as it might be sitting lower to the ground than it should be

Yes its the exhaust, there are scrapes on it going lengthways. I have ordered a shock, they sit above the strut, the strut is not within it, but under it!

cheers

I have ordered a shock,

Just one? if so not a good idea. They need replacing in pairs or preferably in full sets. Odd shocks are not a recipee for a safe car.
