Hello,

i Recently aquired a 2005 fiat croma which has turned out to be quite a good car after a few niggles at first.

My dad would like to use the car to tow his trailer occassionaly as he does not want to put a tow bar onto his newest car. He has offered to pay for one to be fitted to my car, however i was wondering about the electric system on the car.

Is it a plug and ply into the light cluster or will it involve a lot more fuss?

The lighting system on these is controlled electronically from the body control module,so you are going to need a 7 pin tow socket by pass relay. Buy on the ‘Bay from around £25. The wiring is a little more involved to fix up than a regular plug and play socket.
