64 Reg Golf TSI cabriolet - Header Unit - golfauto11

Can anybody tell me if it is possible to replace the header unit in my Golf cabriolet (64 reg) 1.4TSI? The one installed has the narrow small screen, but it looks as if it is part of a much larger housing. If there is a replacement, will it be compatible with all the functions in the car. I don't obviously have built in sat nav.

I’m sure it’s upgradeable,but it is not a direct swap.New unit will need to be configured to the car,depending on spec.

May be possible, but fit Satnav and you become a target for those who rip out VW satnavs for fun.

I’ve seen VAG cars after being broken into at a local station car park. All have had head unit and sat nav ripped out. The last was a TT about a month ago.
