I had an 05 diesel bought with 17k on the odo at 3 years old. Ran it to mid 80k. My previous Jags had been petrol and I wish I had bought a petrol X350 instead of the diesel. Nice enough and good on fuel. Once drove from Luxembourg to Perpignan on 1 tank. Mid 40's easily seen but, mostly, late 30's. At 60k the pair of DPFs failed, had them cleaned, failed again. Top side of £1k all in with the clean then replacement. Other things to watch for are parking sensor fails, had several and they come unpainted. Also suspension compressor. It was the most problematic of my XJs. The X300 XJR was ace and the 3.6XJ 40 the most comfy. However, if chance/money allowed I would have a 3.0, 3.5 or 4.2 X350 again.
