We bought this seat based on a few reviews. We returned the first one we received as it doesn't positively lock in the sideways position. We've just taken delivery of the replacement which is the same? Your review suggests that it locks when facing sideways but we now have 2 that don't? What are the odds of both being faulty?! Or are we missing something?
