I briefly considered a diesel during my recent car search.
However, bad publicity of the kind which accompanied the emission figures scandal can prove to be a potent influence upon the decision making processes of those who have few alternative sources of knowledge to guide them, and in the end it seemed too much of a risky endeavour.
I think it was more a case of most people ignored any warnings about diesels, any emmisions warnings were ignored because it suited the wallet most of the time, imo its all too little too late as with all things
It seems another report says household chemicals are equal to or worse than particulates inhalation due to the chemicals being inhaled in an enclosed space, so we will wait and see what happens about that. If you want proof just google household chemicals and particulates.
