2001 BMW 3 Series Tourer - Fit rear passenger door glass - BobCJ

Any help appreciated, I have scoured Google with no good results. I'm at my wits end with trying to fit a replacement rear passenger door glass. I have the door panel off, lower window trims and I can drop the glass into the door. I just cannot work out how to get it into both runners. I have tried tilting within the door but cannot get enough rotation. I obviously cannot take off the runner that also holds the rear quarter window. There doesn't appear to be a way to loosen the front runner. I have taken off the internal trim which didn't reveal any 'magic' screws to loosen the fwd runner. I tried to prise off the fwd column outer trim but this appears to be quite fixed in place and didn't want to force too hard.

Thanks in advance.

Never done one myself but from a guess you've answered it yourself.

Remove the quarter light.

Often there are fasteners on the outer edge of the door.

Remove this then the glass and runner should be free.

Try Googling BMW tis. Getting to the right place is a bit long winded but most information can be found with a little persistence.
