2 weeks ago I had my car booked in with Nissan dealer to major service (£269), air bag recall and MOT. Picked it up, paid for service booked stamped,, passed MOT no advisories, said all done.
Then I had a call last week to say they hadn't serviced it or checked air bag recall even though they'd charged me and stamped my book. So they can and picked it up today, which they did. No offer of goodwill gesture or courtesy car but they did pick it up from home. Then they called to say the brake pads and rear wiper blade needs changing. The brakes will cost £156.
I said why wasn't it advised during mot, he said it was noted down and it's probably on your advisories which if wasn't. I told them I want them to pay for it because either they are charging me for something that doesn't need doingg or they should have put in on an advisory. They agreed to do the work free of charge in the end and I now have the car back, I also said I need the car back to take it to quick for 2pm as the middle part of exhaust needs changing. He said cancel quick fit then and we'll also do that. Then he phoned to say they wouldn't do the exhaust because quick fit hadn't done it properly to take it back to them.
Also I had phoned them yesterday before the service to ask if they could do the middle section of the exhaust while they had it today (had the back box done a quick fit but still making a bad noise and quick fit said middle probably needs doing) but Nissan said they wouldn't get the part in time.
The man who collected my car for the belated service this morning said at that's rubbish and they could've easily got it in!
The way I look at it 2 weeks ago they had it in for mot, service and air bag recall. They only full filled one thing the mot which they left off the advisories.
Do you think I should complain higher up? I wouldn't if they'd offers a good will gestures to start with.

Firstly,I would say poor show from the dealer, but looks like you have a mixed bag of issues here. The rear wiper is not tested as part of the mot. Also the brake pads would need to be very low for an mot advisory. The exhaust system leak is not Nissan,s fault.Take it back to quick whoever. You have had the work done for nothing,so fair play on their behalf.Take the car elsewhere next time.Find a good recommend independent garage.
