Wife has the new model Note and its got an excellent boot for a car in its class. Our Acenta Premium has the sliding rear seat which is really useful on occations. Comparing the car to my Leon move the seat to give a comparable amount of rear leg room and you get a bigger boot than the Leon, Move it back and the boot space is about the same as the Leon but you have leg room aproaching a Skoda Superb. As I said in the other thread full size spare fits without affecting the quoted boot space. Basically the Note has more interior space than a Leon in a smaller package.
Kia Venga is pretty good but we found the seats too high for my mother and the mother in law to comfortably use. Its also way more expensive than the Note spec for spec after discounts are factored in.
Leon ST has a huge boot as does the Civic tourer.
Peugeot 308 hatch and estate both have the biggest boots in the class but they both have rediculously restricted rear leg room.
As everthing in life its a compromise but some are better than others.
Best compromise we have had with regards to overall size, rear leg room and boot space was the Mk 1 Kia Ceed SW.
