2008 Honda crv (uk) 6 speed cdti - Manual gearbox filler plug - jojopoppy

I have tried many forums and even phoned Honda BUT can anyone tell me where the filler plug is on a 2008 manual 6 speed Honda crv ex i-cdti ? I have found the drain plug and have had a few suggestions re the filler plug is " under the battery ". " under the air filter " but nothing concrete..A diagram or photo would help.Thanks in advance I am at my Witt's end Honest!!!!!!

if you cant find it..my suggestion is (and I've done it) remove the speedo drive or reverse light switch from gearbox refill using a funnel and if necessary a lenghth of garden hose with the correct amount of oil...

I haven't changed CRV gear oil, but have done so on Civics.

Not always obvious, Hondas can have three plugs, one drainer, one filler usually at the top, but a small plug about half way up not easy to find and far from easy to locate which is the level plug.

Thanks for all your help and suggestions.I am going back under the car in next few days and have another look.If I locate anything will post a photo for information..

These model crv s ( UK) do not have any workshop manuals ( yet )
