Hello all newbie

Had this problem in my van for a while now with no success of getting it repaired

The vibration only comes on when I'm driving at about 70 mph in 6th gear

It's dosent do it all the time either the first time it done it went into limp mode
I have had a full diagnostic scan showed unknown fault po400 and brake light switch

Had it on the ramp driven at 70mph checking driveshalfs bearing etc
all ok
Had wheels balanced
Egr value been removed and cleaned and maf sensor

It seems to come on when 6th gear is selected but at the bottom of its range
and increasing speed to 70mph ?
It's a semi auto box
Would a clog injector or faulty egr value cause this

Any ideas appreciated

I would still suspect a faulty tyre, they can balance OK but can be out of round due to ply seperation. Try swapping the fronts with the rears.

Had similar on a mondeo several years ago, the vibration started around 75 in 5th and gradually worsened and manifested itself at lower speeds.
The problem, worn inboard CV joint on the driveshaft, never spotted on MOT because it was hidden by the undertray.

Can you check the cv joint for play ? or is it a case of just replacing it

I will give that a try swopping front wheels fro the rear onesand see if this works

Its a real pain it wont do it all the time i can drive at the same speeds and condition for weeks with nothing and out of nowhere it will shake vibrate very violently

Ive noticed that if driving through in 4th and 5th to 70 i dont get the vibration its only once i have reach 70 slow down to say 60 but still in 6th and try to incease speed to 70mph

so its feels like extra torque or pressue build up is put on the engine

Bizzar as it sounds but.........

I'm begining to suspect a clutch/flywheel fault.

I.m suspecting the same thing. Most likely the flywheel faild and needs replacing
