Drilling out the bolt was an absolute sod,
Started small diameter and drilled in stages up to what was about 1/2 mm from the measured shank on the new bolt to a depth of just under the flange.
once that was done the pressure was off the flange and a half inch chisel on the flange was enough to break what little torque was still on the fastner remains.
It actually came out with just fingers!
No damage to thread or crank pully.
Hardest part was getting a pilot hole dead center.
This was 4/5 years ago and the car still comes back each year for the MOT.
Only way to get access to change the well overdue cam belt.
I doubt it would have survived this long on the old nasty belt I found on it,
But I hope to never have to do it again.
