Mercedes-Benz E320 cdi sport saloon - Roof Noises - ebony

My 2008/2009 car has a full glass roof with front opening section which makes a weird creak/knock over the NSR passenger seat on rough roads. Has anyone else had this problem and if so what is the cure?

It could just be the seals aging.

However, if it does not leak, then DO NOT start messing about with it. You may turn what is a minor annoyance into a major problem.

Head over to the UK-based MB forum - mbclub. You'll likely get advice on a cause/fix from the forum. I know the pan-roofs on the C Class coupe used to require periodic greasing and the E Class pan-roof may be the same.
