hi all

my audi developed a problem after changing fuel filter i noticed that diesel is leaking through return valve , the engine is quite dirty on this side so it must start a while ago , i changed the filter and valve, checked if hosses are no blocked, fuel seems to gather pressure in the filter , would it be fuel pressure regulator ? if yes where it is lockated ? is it integrated in tandem pump? cheers

The fuel filter is in the low pressure delivery and return line from the intank lift pump.If it was not leaking before the filter was replaced,then either the filter is faulty or it has not been assembled correctly with the appropriate seals.

As above on my last fuel filter change I nearly forgot to fit the new (supplied) seals.

as i mention before , it was leaking before as the side of the engine is all dirty ....im sure that the filter was fited corectly , this is the second filter as originally i fitted german one and assuming that filtermight be faulty i bought another one , same story with fuel return valve its new and i tried 3 sets of rubber rings on it ,the pressure is building up in filter as after i took off return hose fuel shoot of it .???

Ahhh ... you 'assumed' that the previous one you fitted 'might' be faulty.

Can I suggest you get a professional to look at it ?
