Do you have any tips for improving my Honda Accord's fuel economy?

What are the realistic fuel figures for a 2006 Honda Accord 2.2 CDTI Tourer? On average, I am returning approximately 39 -42 mpg for general careful driving. Can you suggest any changes that can be made to improve fuel economy. My dealer did a test for me two years ago and returned 51mpg.

That's realistic. It's a big car.
