Is buying an ex-police dog van a good idea?

I need a dog van with fitted crates and have seen ex-police vans for sale. Are these a good buy?

Quite a good idea because they are purpose built and ventilated for the safe transport of large dogs. There are specialist ex-police vehicle auctions in Witney at: www.woma.co.uk/ and in Leominster at: www.brightwells.com/
