My wife has just received a demand for £70 from a car parking enforcement company for being in Morrison's car park for more than two hours. The letter gives the arrival and departure times (three hours) with a print of her registration below, but no ticket was placed on her car. Also, as opposed to tickets issued by local authorities whereby payment can be halved if paid within seven days, the enforcement company states that the cost will rise to £90 after seven days. They also talk about collection agencies. Can this payment be enforced?
