Should I replace my Toyota Carina Verso's timing belt at 32,000 miles?
My garage suggests I should replace the timing belt on my 2003 diesel Toyota Carina Verso, which has covered 32,000 miles. Toyota's service booklet recommends replacement after 60,000 miles, but no age is mentioned. What do you think please?

It's sensible advice to change it, its tensioner and any small pulleys on age grounds. It's not the mileage a belt does that determines its life, it's the number of starts.
