Following a motorway crash in my partner's car, are we being targeted by accident management companies?
I am the named driver on my partner's fully comprehensive policy. I was driving her car yesterday and was involved in a motorway crash. My partner's insurance company rang her and insisted she make a claim for injury compensation, even though she has no injury from the crash and did not require any medical treatment. Presumably this is a "scam" so that her insurance company can claim off mine? We know that insurance premiums escalate each year due to injury compensation claims. Is this part of the problem and what should my partner do about this?

If your partner was not injured then there can be no claim for personal injury compensation. This sounds more like an accident management company getting excited about the prospect of a passenger injury claim rather than the insurer. However some of what you say needs clarification.
Were you at fault in the accident or was another vehicle involved? If you were driving her car as the named driver, then any claim she made (as an injured passenger) would be against you but on her own policy - so it makes no sense for them to encourage a fraudulent claim against themselves. What is the damage to the vehicle and is it currently usable?
