Should I wait for a 67 reg Nissan Qashqai?

I've taken your advice and ordered a petrol Nissan Qashqai 1.6. Should I wait for the September reg or does it not matter? It's a new car and I've paid cash, could you advise me on anything I should consider or know for car insurance?

A 67 reg rather than a 17 reg will immediately be worth about £1000 more, diminishing to maybe £200 more in five years time. Since this will be a brand new car you should find an insurance policy that replaces it with a new car if it is deemed an insurance total loss within the first year. Alternatively consider GAP insurance to cover the different between the insurance payout and the true replacement cost, from someone like www.ala.co.uk/
