I've just bought a Porsche 997 Carrera 2 and the clutch has failed. Should the dealer repair it?
Just wanted a bit of advice of where I stand. I bought an 04-reg Porsche 997 Carrera 2 with 42,000 miles from a reputable indy, and after four months of ownership and just over 2000 miles the clutch needs replacing. Now I can't claim on my one-year warranty as they have said it is down to wear and tear, so I will need to go back to the indy I bought it from as I think they should foot the bill. Where do I stand?

The dealer who sold it to you is liable for any faults that occur within the fist six months from date of sale that could have been developing on the date of sale, unless he can prove otherwise. He would have to be able to prove that you abused the clutch to get out of this one.
