Should I buy or lease a new MINI Cooper?

Are the new MINI Cooper reliable and are parts expensive? Also, would it be better to buy or lease?

Early F56 MINI Cooper 3-cylinder 1.5 had some bearing problems, but this is a know issue and BMW is either fixing them or fitting them with new engines. If you lease it and if something goes wrong with it then that's the leasor's problem rather than yours. But, of course, if it's under MINI warranty it will be covered anyway. They are good fun to drive.
