Recommend a small car with folding seats and good comfort?

I have a 1.8 Astra Elite. I find it very uncomfortable and am looking for new, smaller car. The back seats need to fold flat for a greyhound, and it needs to be comfortable! I want similar acceleration, like auto wipers/lights and heated seats. Hands-free would be nice, as would satellite navigation. Most small cars lack these features.

I tried the Mitsubishi Colt, which is not comfortable for long journeys. The MINI Clubman would be difficult with a child seat for my grandson, while the Honda Jazz doesn't have much oomph. I'm going to try the Volkswagen Polo, but for that price I could get a bigger car. Comfort and folding seats are essential, better economy and other features would be nice.
