Are DPFs covered by warranties, and how best can I store winter tyres when not being used?

Are DPFs covered under manufacturers' warranties? Would they be covered under wear and tear cover from third party warranties? Also, do you know of any wheel nuts that don't rust? I thought tyres needed to frequently get up to decent speed or heat to 'reseal' the rubber - would this be problematic if you have winter/summer tyres that are not used for months?

DPFs are not covered if they are abused. No warranty provider would cover them against getting clogged. It's okay to store tyres for six months in a dark place, like a rack in an unlit garage, or the loft of a garage.
