What is the expected lifespan for the battery on a hybrid car?

What is the expected lifespan for the battery on a hybrid car e.g. the Lexus CT200?

I simply don't get any reports from readers of them failing. We have a 2010 Auris HSD with exactly the same drivetrain as the CT200 and it's never been a problem.
