What size are the front brake calliper bolts on my 2006 Toyota Yaris?
Can you tell me the size of the brake calliper bolts on the front brakes of a 2006 Toyota Yaris 1.0L T3? I have tried an 11mm and 12mm socket but the bolt does not appear to be moving out of the thread. The ratchet sounds like it is working but it could just be the grip of the surrounding rubber boot. The 12mm feels like it is on the head of the bolt, but nothing seems to be happening. It is not something fancy is it?

We do not have specific detail of each and every car, and so cannot say what size bolts you have. Given that you are saying you have tried 11mm and 12mm sockets, it may be that you have either locking tabs which are up against the bolt, or they are not standard bolts and will require a special socket. Could you not just pop into to your local garage and ask them if they are special? Also have you sprayed them with WD40 prior to undoing?
