Can I fit smaller wheels to my Mercedes-Benz SLK to improve the ride quality?

The handling on my 59-plate Mercedes-Benz SLK 200 is really solid on the sports low profile tyres and wheels. Can I fit the standard SLK wheels and tyres? Any snags or warranty issues, and will it make the ride any softer?

Yes. The brakes are the same size so you can go down to the standard 16-inch wheels and deeper profile tyres. Some idiot who doesn't mind suffering the hard ride will probably do a swap with you.
