What's the best way to sell a car on behalf of the owner?

My father is no longer able to drive and I need to sell his car on his behalf. I'm not a driver myself and have no idea where to start.

The easiest way out is www.wewantanycar.com or www.webuyanycar.com/ They quote, they come to check the car (and may revise their quotation if the condition is not as anticipated), they take the car away, you receive payment within four days. WeWant is the Manheim auction company; WeBuy is BCA, so you are dealing with, huge, well-established organisations.
