What new petrol 4WD is smaller than our current Toyota RAV4?

We're growing too old for our 6 year old Toyota RAV4 diesel but we appreciate sliding into a seat rather than falling in and climbing out. What new petrol 4WD car could you recommend that would be smaller than our present car?
