Misleading Fiesta ST trip computer
Today I was returning home on the M42, I knew I was low on fuel but the trip computer said I had a range of 26 miles left. However, as I was approaching the exit slip to the service station the engine cut out.
I pushed the clutch in an coasted to the end of the slip road and walked to the services, bought a can of petrol and all was well again.
I have two questions:
1) Have you heard of this problem on other Fiesta STs?
2) I think the trip computer should be more accurate than this - what do you think?

Never, ever run a tank low and don't rely on the trip meter when the tank is low.
