CVT Gearbox needs replacing outside of manufacturer's warranty - but how?
My wife bought a brand new Nissan Juke 1.6 Tekna auto in July 2012. During the warranty period we had two replacement gearboxes.
I bought a new Nissan Qashqai 1.6 Tekna auto in September 2012. The vehicle has done 24,000 miles and the Nissan dealership have confirmed that the gearbox needs replacing. I am aware from your column that this is a common problem. The car was 5 months out of warranty when this was confirmed. I was told to contact Nissan Customer Services which I have just done. I have been promised a response within 48 hours. In your opinion - what sort of offer should I realistically expect from Nissan?

They replace the transmission FoC. You pay for the garage labour.
