Insurance for young drivers
My son has passed his test and we are looking at insurances. A policy on my Mitsubishi Colt without him costs £170 but when I add him as a named driver it goes up to £1200. He lives at home (student) and will not buy a car on his own. Any advice on getting that premium down? Will he still earn his own no-claims bonus as a named driver?

This premium is typical and is tje main reason why young people either don't driver or drive uninsured. A Telematics based policy may help: www.honestjohn.co.uk/useful-websites/tax-insurance.../
