Can I claim for insurance premium increases after two non-fault accidents?

Is it possible to claim for an increase in premium as a result of non-fault accidents? My car was involved in two non-fault accidents, one in December 2008 and one in February 2009. In both situations I was parked and other cars drove into my car. Both times the drivers came and found me and accepted responsibility. Last year, when I came to renew my insurance using different online sites, they showed at least £200 difference between putting the claims on and not including them. When I spoke to my current insurer, they explained that it was because I was statistically more likely to be involved in another accident and I could expect increased premiums for the 12 months following the non-fault claims.

I have guaranteed no-claims and now eight years' no-claims discounts, no speeding fines or medical conditions, and I'm now over 25. Despite this, my insurance this year has increased 20 per cent again due to the non-fault accidents. Any suggestions on how to recoup these increases in premiums?

All you can do is attempt to sue the drivers who caused you this increase using www.moneyclaim.gov.uk. But they may counterclaim that you were partially at fault for the damage to have occurred at all, which is why the underwriting risk of insuring you increased.
