Porsche Macan petrol or diesel?

I will be retiring in about 12 months time when I will lose my company car and I am thinking about ordering a Macan S. I doubt I will do more than 10k per annum but I do envisage at least one long trip a year say touring France. The diesel and petrol are, unusually, identical prices but of course the diesel will be considerably more economical and has lower VED. My intention is to keep the car long term but I have two concerns. Firstly the potential issues with the diesel engine and the dpf as the car gets older. Secondly the ongoing cost and hassle of needing to fill with Adblue. Your thoughts on the above would be much appreciated.

For long-term potential problems (not many) check out the Audi Q5 entry at www.honestjohn.co.uk/carbycar A few transmission problems, but not many. The diesel is tempting, currently enjoys higher residuals and has a longer waiting list. But it's a coin toss between them and the base petrol turbo: www.honestjohn.co.uk/road-tests/porsche/porsche-ma.../
