I have a 56 Renault Grand Scenic 1.9DCi (FAP) with 27,000 miles. This is not about the FAP and regeneration - I've been there and got the T-shirt (and won't be buying a car with an engine such as this again for anything other than high mileage distance). This is about the throttle valve.

Having received the "Check Injection" warning several times and logging their occurrence over a month, I took the car to a recommended independent diagnostics centre. They diagnosed the car with a faulty throttle valve, which they showed me on the diagnostics system, and then talked me through demonstrating an outstanding level of knowledge. The quote seems very reasonable (about £350) for removal, diagnosis of the input/ouput signals, and then replacement (unless further diagnosis proves otherwise). Do I have a legitimate claim against Renault for a car that is just over six months outside its warranty?
