What's the best used estate for £5k?
We've got £2000-£5000 to spend on a used estate with a reasonable sized boot. We're not bothered about brand as long as it is reliable and has decent amounts of equipment. Ideally, we want an automatic gearbox, cruise control, leather seats and a nice quiet ride. Diesel or petrol is fine.
Any advice on what would be best to buy?

I have found a 2006 Ford Mondeo estate 2.5 V6 automatic for sale with only 36,000 miles on the clock. It looks immaculate and the mileage is warranted. It's on for £3995. Is this a good price?
I'm looking at Ford Mondeo Estate 2.0 diesel circa 02-06. Which model would you recommend? And what mileage? (I was thinking 70-90,000) I want to pay £2500. Do they have DPF? Chain belt?
I need to buy a family car on a £3000 budget. The car will replace my old Jaguar XJ, but it must be practical and comfortable, with a nice cabin. What do you recommend?
